Alloy question & advice

Recommended Posts

Lo all,

Thought id get some new alloys for my C but which ones??

I will be upgrading the suspension with a coilover kit at the same time but should i go for 17" or 18" alloys?

Also, anyone any suggestions for alloys?

Nothing really jumps out at me!

Id like something that hasnt got loads of spokes or really large spokes, must be able to see discs. Ideally not bling-bling alloys or with too much going on!

Simple yet makes you go "nice alloys"

Oh, and must obviously suit the car!! :)

Thanks in advance!

18s will make the car handle and ride like a turd.

17s or 16s are the best for a Corrado.

How about some 'tasteful' Speedline Comp2 alloys..

They are a good quality wheel, suit the car, and are often confused with the Storm 'Solitude' wheels.. nice OE kind of look :)

Talk to S-Link Design if you are interested in getting a very decent price on them - http://www.slinkdesign.co.uk :)

If you put 17s on a C with standard suspension does it still sit like a jeep cherokee? how much would it need to be lowered if any?

I made the mistake of buying 17x7 wheels. Crappy set up on spacers, wish id bought some 16s for better handling. And make em 16x9 whilst ur there!!
