outside temp sensor

I have a wire with a blue clip on the end hanging down just inside the front bumper on the drivers side - I presume this is the outside temp sensor? is there a housing for this or does it just hang?

sensor plugs into the blue plug then the sensor is clipped into the bottom of the off side brake cooling duct so no where to clip the plug as the sensor holds it up, looks like its a zip clip to do the job
