Outside temp sensor on brake duct

Recommended Posts

I had me front bumper off at the weekend to replace the wing, and as part of the process I unplugged the temp sensor on the offside brake duct. I thought I'd plugged it back in AOK, but the MFA is reading -40 deg C so I'm guessing not. Is it possible to plug it in the wrong way round, or is it a knackered sensor?

thanks in advance

Nope, just wasn't plugged in at all. I guess I didn't push it all the way in when I put the duct back into the bumper. Ah well, sorted now.

Cheers

IIRC open circuit on the plug gives reading -40

Short circuit on the plug gives reading +50

The sensors are also different depending on the model (but I don't have the numbers) Must replace the one on my VR one of these days......
