VR6 Main cooling fan has a little belt hanging off.

I have just got a '93 VR6 which is spot on except it runs a little hot when in traffic and I have discovered that the main fan is working fine but there is a little belt hanging off it that doesn't appear to run on anything. I am assuming that it is supposed to run the other fan that doesn't have a motor but I can't see where it goes. Any suggestions?

by the looks of an exploded diagram i have.....the belt is on the radiator side of the fans and is so that the 2nd fan runs with the power of the first one as you first thought...........so really you have to try and take the fans off to put the belt back on

Ta, info was spot on was a bit of an arse of a job but I got it in the end and it'sall working fine now.
