SIG60 0 Posted September 3, 2005 I have the same sort of problem with both the Rado and my new addition a MK1 Golf GTI cabrio. With the rado if I drive it hard the oil light comes on and beeps at me - either its the sensor, pump or just dirt in the pump? With the Golf i use it very rarely - driving it today about 5 min down the road and the oil light comes on and starts beeping at me, checked the oil levels and it is fine (serviced last week), Could this be the same problem as the Rado? Chris VR6nos 0 Posted September 3, 2005 The little oil temp sensor has a spade connector on it and is east to check the connection and also cheap and easy to replace and they do sometimes break down, try a new sensor for a few quid, it'll not hurt and is good preventitive medicine! Geo 0 Posted September 3, 2005 This happened a friend's 16v corrado a while back, after he put in a new high pressure sender (old one leaked) the oil light started coming on intermittently, swapped it for a secondhand sender from an engine I had lying around and it was fine, new sensor was bought in gsf.
