radiator fan cut off switch. where does it go?

where the f does this wire go? I assume its the neutral or live conn for radiator, but cant find a home for it...thus my fan only tunrs on when my car is turned off??????

The fan cut - off thermoswitch is on the forward driver's side corner of the rocker cover. (Where the red coloured digits are in the photo bottom left corner, slightly further towards the front of the car.) Have a look round there but I presume there's more length of wire around than is visible in the photo.

ok,, bottim right. And no there snot much more witre at all. I havent found anything for it to fit to, one guy on the forum a while back mentioned athat it fasted onto a nut?????

Can't make it out, whats the colour of the wire (* with * stripe)?

It looks like a 16v, what year?

its brown and white if memories serves me correct

 

just above the pic is i have beeen told an earth metal thingy near the top of the strut, ive stuck it on there

 

radiator fan is cool now! but id stil liket o know exactly where it goes

 

its def the neutral wire, live is already connected, as the fan will turn on at random times

There should be a temp sensor that it connects to on the rocker cover as RW1 said near the bottom left corner in the photo.

Is there at least a threaded hole where you've been looking, ie. someone has removed the sensor?

Bottom right of pic near oil filler on rocker cover. Forward and to right hand car side of filler hole.
