gollfy 0 Posted October 16, 2005 Hi all. I have a 1992 G60 Corrado which I have had stood for a few months. before it was stood, the ABS light staid on Intermitantly. But now I have it back on the road its on all the time:(. I have cleaned all the sensors the best I can without taking them out cause it looks like you have to butcher them to get em out. But the light still stays on. Just wondered if anyone on here is near nottingham who has Vagcom with the 2x2 connection as mine is an older Corrado with the old connections who could kindly plug it on for me:). I know you can test the sensors using a multimeter and plugging that into the connections under the bonnet and rear seats, but is it just a voltage i am looking for to prove the sensor is working? Also I want some advise as Im interested in getting VAGCOM for myself as I have a laptop, just need the leads and software. Just wondered if you all could give me some advise on which particular lead and the best version of software to get and which is the most cost effective, want to get it up and running for a fair price. emoda 0 Posted October 16, 2005 You need to measure the resistance of the sensor - some=good, lots(or infinite!)=bad. Also have a look in this thread to see if there's anyone near you who might scan your codes for you & also maybe some info on buying vag-com leads/software in there too. RW1 0 Posted October 16, 2005 VAG-COM lead.... make sure it's electrically isolated type not optically isolated as some cars won't work. Also, a G60 unless a very, very late one is a hybrid analogue / digital diagnositcs system. ABS is digit, ie. VAG-COM, engine is analogue and uses llamp blink code (pain and long winded). PM me with your chassis number and I will be able to tell you whether the engine is digital or not. VAG-COM version if registered is v409.1 will do the C and is the non-CAN databus version (later post 2002 VW cars). It may well not be worth spending money on this Corrado as all you may be able to do is the ABS. Measure the wheel sensors 1.2kohm +/- 300 ohms is OK otherwise duff. This a the most likely problem. .
