Tedb 0 Posted October 21, 2005 How difficult is it to replace an Exhaust Manifold on a 16V and what replacement would you fellow enthusiasts recommend? I've got a 1992 16V with a cracked exhaust manifold and was advised to replace soon, getting quite a bit of leakage, original manifold of course. I'm thinking Stainless Steel, Janspeed or Milltek. keithmac 0 Posted October 21, 2005 I fitted a Magnex to my mk2 golf, it was a bit of a swine really but do-able (dropped subframe, took inlet mani off etc). I had the head of when it came out the 2nd time for wrapping and it was p1ss easy to fit then. It`s personal preference but I`d wrap it before fitting, make it less noisey in the cabin..
