Rob_B 0 Posted December 23, 2005 my engine has decided to start chucking out blue smoke while i drive it. this leads me to think either the valve stem seals are fooked or the piston rings are gone.so a head gasket set has been ordered which isnt a problem to do. however, i havent had any experience of working on the bottom end of an engine... so can someone give me a rough guide of whats needed for a rebuild and rough costs? any things i need to look out for and any good tips i can follow would also be helpful. i know its probably not completely necessary to rebuild the engine, but it gives me a solid base for further power upgrades..... cheers Rob Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
