Lanceevox 0 Posted March 27, 2006 Sometimes when I start my car the oil light will go on. Not the oil temperture but the oil level(little oil can). I am currently using 10-30 full synthetic but by engine only has about 40-50k on it. When I went to buy oil I was thinking my car had 140k but after I bought all the oil I remember the engine has 40k and the car has 140k about. Anyways, I was told it would be fine to put 10-30 in. The only problem I have had is that little light keeps coming on when I start the car and it will continue to blink. But if I turn it off and restart it, the light will go off. What the fook? Reason I put it in interior is because I am hoping it is just an electrical issue. I am eventually going to take it into a mechanic friend. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated! THANKS! carpy25 0 Posted March 28, 2006 you need to get the oil pressure checked if theres a problem with the pressure it would show up more when the its hot not at startup more possible to be a faulty switch can you hear cam followers (in the uk we call them tappets )ratteling with the light blinking ? don't think the worst get the perssure checked first Rob
