New Clifford Concept 650p

Recommended Posts

I've been offered a brand new clifford concept 650p G5 alarm by a friend

for £100. Unfortunately this doesn't come with the free installation.

Does anyone know a cheap decent place to get this fitted in the south of england? (cost etc.) near bournemouth.

would anyone recommend fitting this myself?

(how easy etc. problem for thatcham/insurance??)

thx

A days work sounds about right, I had a concept 50 fitted years ago and that took hours!

No more available at this price unfortunately. There is a guy on e-bay that

sells them pretty cheap sometimes £150 (or thereabouts) called nokia-bits2.

I think you've got to really have it fitted by a G5 specialist though (another £150), then you've got someone to blame if it goes tits up!

basically opened the box today, and just went.......arrrse. I really wouldn't trust myself with the wiring on this (and i've done my fair share).

I've got a 650 on mine & it does take a day to fit. Also just had to take it back because the siren stopped working. Turned out to be "water ingress" and it had fried the controller board too. As it was under a year old, my alarm company changed it out without charging for labour, but I have to wait for Clifford to decide if they'll pay the £60 for the replacement parts :(

Yeah, thats exactly why i think i'll get someone approved to fit

the alarm. If I wire the headlamps to the windscreen wipers or

something (put a sensor in the wrong place), I probably wouldn't

know what is damaged, and probably wouldn't get any backup either.
