MNuTz 0 Posted May 27, 2006 Ok all, Just got my quote through to fix my C after my accident. If i cant get the price down i am going to be looking for a shell to transfer everything into. Quote ******************************************************* Renewal of following parts/panels:- O/S 1/4 Panel O/S Sill O/S/F Door O/S Door glass O/S/F Wing O/S/F Road wheel Repair work required on following parts/panels:- Floor Associated work required:- Remove and refit : Door mirror, Rear seats, Drivers seat, 1/4 Glass Check initial Pull Check and clean car Check and quality control Parts requiring paint:- O/S 1/4 Panel O/S Sill O/S/F Door O/S/F Wing Labour £1541.00 Parts £1497.28 Paint £210.00 Misc £35.00 Total Cost = £3283.28 All prices excluding VAT ******************************************************** Now, i know i can remove the everything that needs removing and can get all but the sill and 1/4 panel second hand. Ive already got wheels so that isnt a problem. All i really want is for them to straighten the car up as it is slightly warped (bonnet wont close), replace the sill and repair the floor then spray it. Can anyone tell me how much i am looking at for the parts i need? thanks PS. Can anyone recommend a good place to get a roll cage from for the C? gaz the geezer 0 Posted May 27, 2006 i`d be tempted to use another shell MNuTz, if you have somewhere to do it that is
Supercharged 2 Posted May 27, 2006 Yeah - it's only worth repairing if everything else is straight - has it been checked on a jig??
MNuTz 0 Posted May 27, 2006 not yet, the quote is based on a visual inspection. I know it is slightly bent as i opened the bonnet and now it wont shut properly. I was just wondering how much i should be looking for the items that need replacing and whether i could buy a sill myself for it. The more money i can save by doing it myself the better. Putting it into another shell is the last resort really.
bcstudent 0 Posted May 27, 2006 After looking at the damage I'd have to be leaning towards breaking it for spares.
