1st rado for me 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Hi Guys I have just brought a 1990 1.8 16v rado, and don't know much about them. I have been looking everywhere for a haynes manual or something along the lines to help me work on the car. I am looking at carrying out the following jobs clutch master and slave cylinder, new discs and pads all round and new exhaust are the any other parts that I should have a good look at that may be likely to be worn and need replacing. Also if any one knows of a good specialist garage close to Bristol that would be great. Thanks
_Monkey 0 Posted June 27, 2006 No haynes manual for the Corrado, but the golf covers all the engine parts/brakes etc. Grant Motorsport is in Bristol too. Welcome to the forum by the way! :D
bcstudent 0 Posted June 27, 2006 The closest manual to the 1.8 16v Corrado is the Haynes manual for the Mk2 Golf. However, the Golf uses a cable clutch and a rod-change gearbox so it won't help you much with that particular job!

1st rado for me 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Thanks guys any ideas where the best place to get decent parts at resonable prices?? I am only trying to get the car running right to get me to work for the next 6 months then I plan to rebuild the engine and get the car as close to showroom condition as possible so lots of hard work ahead. colinstubbs 0 Posted June 28, 2006 Depending on mileage, and whether they've already been done, you may want to look at suspension/bushes mine was tired in that dept by 80k, but still going good at 164k now. I did have the clutch master go on me, so got the slave done at the same time  reads a bit dodgy! Euro Carparts and GSF are good sources for parts, you can always ask as the need arises!! 1st rado for me 0 Posted June 28, 2006 Thanks Colin I am hoping to get away with the suspension for now as I would like to fit coilovers when I start rebuilding in about 6 months.

Henny 0 Posted June 29, 2006 to cover just about every job you need to do to a Corrado you should buy 2 haynes manuals: MKII Golf Passat 88-92 with these two, you should be able to work out how to do just about everything you'd need to do to a Corrado other than a few wiring bits and pieces which are Corrado only...
