Standard G60 Intercooler - how the hell does it come out?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just trying to swop over my intercoolers (Corrado to Golf set up) and I have undone the brackets that hold the original rado intercooler in place, but it still wont come out :? Can anybody shed any light on what is holding it in.............please

Cheers,

Simon.

 Yup, they're a little ####er to get out!

From memory, there's 2 bolts RIGHT UP at the top of the intercooler which hold it in place as well as the 2 you can see at the bottom... From memory, you also have to undo the front bumper and move it forwards slightly to get access to the 2 upper bolts...

Keep on going at it, and don't loose your temper (or you'll end up loosing skin on your knuckles!) you'll get there... 8)

It will all be worth it when it romps up the road with an Intercooler that actually does somthing to aid cooling.

Golf G60 intercooler, rad, fan, pipework and a charge temp gauge now installed, pics to follow. Charge temps are now within 5 degrees of ambient, so intercooler is definately doing its job!

Thanks for the help chaps :thumbleft: .
