factory airvon...not the dave stuff

Recommended Posts

just wondering if its possible to fit it to a rhd car?

supposing i could theoretically get hold of a full set of parts.

or weould it be eaier to do a 24v conversion, use the aircon from that and just get an aircon heater panel?

any help uber appreciated

erm. Lots of work either way. Basically if you use the MK4 pipework etc.. you have to do a lot of chopping and reshaping to get it to fit, or get flexi pipes made up. Then you need to mount the compressor (different bracket on the block) fit the condensor, drier etc.. then fit the climate control unit and heater matrix in the car. all do-able but I would say in the region of £2000 for me to do the whole job.

is that with using a 24v block jay?

im thinking of going that way at some point in the future...

still a nightmare to do if you were using LHD corrado aircon bits?

No that would be using all MK4 bits on a standard VR6 Rado.

Basically installing the entire modern climate control system from scratch.

It would still work on a 24v if you installed one at a later date.

Well for me doing the engine would mean doing the aircon too. However there is a lot more cost involved in putting a 24v in, including all the aircon etc...
