catch_twotwo 0 Posted August 7, 2006 I'm having a little isse that I can't seem to tie down right now. When I turn off the car it has a slight overrun on the engine. It only lasts about 2 seconds, but is enough to make me a little worried. It could be linked to a couple of other small issues I have, like reving by itself, and a slight hesitation around 1500-2000 rpm. If you take your foot off in 4th or 5th doing 2000 and then put it back on it sort of blips a bit. Hard to explain. I think the reving is most likely the ISV. However the overrun and slight hesitation could be a number of things. Would the timing cause this ? or maybe a slight problem with the fuel pump ?# I did a search and read a few threads, but can't seem to find somebody with these symptoms. kongo127 0 Posted August 7, 2006 It seems to me that your car has timing issues... Maybe worth checking it 6deg. btdc and also the vaccum hose that goes from the intake manifold up to the ECU. catch_twotwo 0 Posted August 7, 2006 I did a spark plug and leads change just to make sure and no changes in anything. How would I go about checking the rotor arm ? EDIT: Just a thought, but i know my knock sensor is shot, and i didn't have time to put a new one on this weekend. Could that be retarding the timing and causing the problems ?
