Recommended Posts

as above on 15's please, want to get an idea as to what height springs to go for as winter isn't far, then when the weather perks up I'll invest in coliovers!!! :D

hiya mate.. long time no see. hehe.. if i were u id give venom a ring and ask them nicely if they will sell u 60mm fronts and 80mm rears. the back always seems high, even on my 80mm kit the back wasn't really low, but with the stereo in mine it dropped it quite alot.. thats what i would go for anyway :D

LOL hello chap, I will ask venoms nicely then what they can do, but some peeps have said on 15's I shouldn't go so low :? I love low cars :D

Although I do have a HUGE ramp near my house, and my old escort struggled on 17's with an 80mm drop

BTW, did you go to E38 over the wkend Al?

E38? please dont get me started on that. my c was bein a naughty girl. heater wasnt workin so i took the dash out n replaced the matrix on fri.. still no heat. noticed the water pump was leaking so changed that sat (when i was meant to be on my way down) then as i was refitting the hoses to the pump, noticed a split in the hose caused by the hose clip so couldnt get down there. gutted cos i lowered the back for the show. u cant see the top of the tyre on the back now! 8) now it doesnt catch the front spoiler on speed bumps so lowering the back will help with clerance at the front!

mine is seemingly dropped by 50+mm on standard alloys using Koni coilovers(i would know the exact drop if i had taken before measurements  )

how low you gone for then? should be fine with it nice and low bud. nothing underneath catches on mine (unlike the old rs, exhaust used to catch on everything) only the front spoiler catches on the meanest of speed ramps :? .. lower it till it scrapes, then another 2 inches for good measure

 I've had low escorts 2 matey:lol:

I've gone for the 55mm springs which Rich @ Venoms said will be low on 15's, if I was to go lower it would be better to change the shocks too, but this is only a short term measure, I've promised myself some coilovers next year...
