Hunting idle, cutting out & throttle switch

i took my throttle body off last week to clean it out. After i have put it back on to the car it wont idle properly.

 

when i stop at a junction or lights it idles at 1000rpm for 10 seconds then drops down to 500 and cuts out sometimes.

 

Also when braking to stop and turn it is dying intermittently.

 

Could the throttle switch be at fault? where is this located?

 

Any advice needed so i can sort it for ed 38

Have you adjusted the dashpot at all?

 

I had to adjust this with my recent rotrex charger adventures and it can affect the return to idle quite significantly and prevented stalling when slowing down at junctions.

 

This is on a VR6 though, not sure about your engine but I imagine it is the same.
