Changing over clocks?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've got a late model G60 with the twin LCD display clocks. Now I'm thinking that my fuel gauge is faulty as it doesn't go back to zero when the engine is turned off and doesn't move at all unless you bang it. :).

Anyway, will a late model VR6 gauge pod fit my car (they look the same except for the red hands) and more importantly, will it be calibrated correctly? (Don't know if the VR6 had a larger tank or different speed sensor etc)

Finally, is there anyway of changing the odometer reading as the new clocks will be reading way lower milage than the car has done and I'm not into that sort of dishonesty.

Thanks

T

I believe the VR6 clocks will be incorrectly calibrated, also the fuel guage may read wrong if you have the 12 gallon tank as opposed to the VR6's 15 gallon one.

Don't think theres a way of changing the mileometer reading either

rev counter is for a 6 cylinder so at will missread , rev counter pick up on coil pluses 4 cyl pluse every 90 deg 6 cly every 60 deg so it should read one third over

sorry won't work you can get it recalibrated but not worth it as lots of g60 clocks out there

Hi

Not really what I wanted to hear but really glad you told me. Thanks.

So many little jobs to do, just don't know where to start. :)

Looks to me that owning a Corrado is a lifestyle choice, great cars though.

Cheers for your help.
