Where the hell does this wire go?

was poking around under the engine bay today and found this stray wire.its on the left side of the engine bay next to the suspension turret (just behind the airbox) its just dangling there. its a brown wire with a terminal on the end but it has a black sleeve around it

I have one of these wires loose just like yours, if i touch that wire to earth on my car the rad fan comes on. So i'm not sure what is, i'd love to know to.

had a look at that post and it looks like the same wire. thing is i still cant find it. does anone have a picture of this sender?

Hi

The sensor has a spade connector. It is on the left front end of the rocker cover.

I had the same wire loose on mine and refitted it to the temp sensor on the bottom left of the rocker cover. There are 3 or 4 temp sensors around the engine etc and they are monitored in turn to make sure temps are consistent. If one is disconnected it just gets skipped but it's better to reconnect it.
