KR cam swap

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am in the process of stripping my 2ltr 16v to do the head gasket, and was thinking wether it was worth putting in a KR cam whilst I am at it.

Is it a straight swap? or do you have to do anything else.

Will it mess up my emmissions?

What else is there (other than porting) that I could do whilst the head is off.

Is it just the Cam that you swap or is the 1.8 head better so worth putting that on?

Thanks

Dave

just swap the inlet cam for the kr 1 and its easier to do if your doing the head gasket anyway.

Make sure you check the inter cam timing like 4 times as when you tighten down the cams,it tends to move a tooth.

If you have a good 1.8 head with the cams in, id be tempted to just bolt that on.

Good luck
