late spec front calipers?

Does anyone know if its possible to fit the later spec vr calipers (from the 288mm kit) with a 280mm disc?

Also do i need the later carriers or are are they the same ?

The carriers are different on the 288s to the 280s and are specific to the caliper..

Did the later Vr6's come with 288mm calipers then? If so, how do i tell?! Mine is a late vr...

Nope the late spec VR is the Golf from 95 to 98, yours will have 280mm discs upront...

To fit 288mm to 280mm you need to change the calipers/carriers/disks & pads, the flexi hoses also need to be changed for the later banjo type as they are also different.. (the hubs are the same on both 288mm & 280mm )
