really needing advice/help PLEASE vr6 dash wont come out

i need help with this matter ! im stuck ! ive searched and found nowt .

ive wasted a day on search?

ok ive got two corrado vr6 ,one for leather swap over..

ive swapped the grey leather recaros over, to mybest C.

now i fancy the grey dash . stripped every single bit i can see that would hold it in ? and NOT COME OUT ?????.

 

the sides & bottom all free. but something close up to the windscreen is stopping it from comin out ?

theres two bolts under the scuttle. Stick your hand under and you find them.

...they're quite awkward to find - don't feel too bad mind - i fell for this as well and even got as far as getting a crowbar in to try and lever the ferker out at one point, i was that pissed off.....

There is most probably a thread on vw vortex on how to take out a dash, step by step.

 

From memory, which is always a let down, there are 2 bolts on the left and right of the engine bay, and 1 in the scuttle area. Also in the centre of the dash, at the bottom there is a hidden bolt at the back facing away from you.

after a FULL bank holiday weekend on this matter !

it nearly ended in my feet going through windscreen / or stihlsawing the front off by the pillars ? ......

nearly hooked a chain onto dash & onto me van so i could do a drive off with the dash ?

 

but this is a 76K Blackberry vr6.

and im selling it on to a mate . SHAME !!!!!

thats right.....someone was having a laugh when they put them mounting points in that location.........

there are two bolts in the engine bay and two at the bottem of the dash behind the center pocket. Im not sure iirc, but they may be one at each end of the dash where the doors open, behind two caps. not sure, its been a while since i had my Corrado.

once i knew were the hidden bolts were ! with a mirror and my sqashed & cut fat hand job took 2 secs to do . :lol:
