vr6storm 0 Posted November 28, 2003 yeah my car now looks like a storm as i have just fitted the storm wheels... :D :D but my dash is black?? is that right? tbh the only difference between my storm and your non-storm is the fact i have the 2 coveted badges and also a colour-coded grille......... Corrado VR6, Classic Green, Cream Leather, colour coded gril, A/C, BBS solitude wheels.......storming ahead of the competion ;)     .........notice you haven't picked him up on his spelling tho

Henny 0 Posted November 29, 2003 tbh the only difference between my storm and your non- storm is the fact i have the 2 coveted badges and also a colour-coded grille.........and in fact with you having A/C yours is also better specced Is anyone else thinking that Jedi's 'rado may actually BE a storm that some little oik has nicked the badges off?!? Especially with the VR6 badge being in the wrong place... Oi, Jedi! have you checked at the dealer that this ISN'T a storm?!? :? Just wondering... I've only ever seen Storms in passing, so I wouldn't know... But something just makes me go "mmmmmmmmmmmm...."
VR6 0 Posted November 29, 2003 Possible Henny, but the interior is quite a lot different.

vr6storm 0 Posted November 29, 2003 Possible Henny, but the interior is quite a lot different. AFAIK VR6......jedi's interior is the same as mine also henny it was fitted with speedlines when he bought it.........tbh the classic green storm is the easiest one to fake.......as it was a standard Corrado colour and most people would have specified the beige leather to compliment the green paintwork if they went for the leather option but he should by all means contact VW's customer careline and get them to confirm what it was sold as
Henny 0 Posted November 29, 2003 yeah, I just wondered, that's all... The badge being offset just made me think that it looked like there was something missing from there....
VR6 0 Posted November 29, 2003 Isn't that dash grey? Or is it just a trick of the light? The blacks look black, and the cream carpet looks cream but the rest of it looks grey - could just be a bad picture though. The gearstick surround is definitely black instead of cream though. JT 0 Posted November 29, 2003 the dash is grey and the suround of the gearstick and handbrake tunnel are all grey too :D
jedi-knight83 0 Posted November 29, 2003 yeah i have a colour coded grill (where was the selling mistake) but this is where you get really confused... :D i now have storm wheels!! the speedlines are in the shed waiting to be posted to the new owner......NOW the only difference is a few badges and im there! if you cant buy one, make one! how do i check if it was a storm? should it not be on the Licence form?? jedi-knight83 0 Posted November 29, 2003 and in fact with you having A/C yours is also better specced i thought all storms had a/c?
VR6 0 Posted November 29, 2003 No aircon was an option. I'm being a complete muppet as well (not for the first time they cry!). I'm looking at a pic of Fec's interior and thinking it's Jedi's! Sorry - that's what I was on about above when I was saying to Roddy that the interiors are quite different. My mistake
jedi-knight83 0 Posted November 29, 2003 ok.......so i thought a/c was standard on the storm as it was a special edition??? what about this question.... Could you buy a standard VR6 at the same time the storm was in production? or were the storms the end run, the last few. i also thought (but we established my 'thoughts' are often wrong) that storms werent around as early as M plates? Could you buy a standard VR6 at the same time the storm was in production? or were the storms the end run, the last few. i also thought (but we established my 'thoughts' are often wrong) that storms werent around as early as M plates? the old A/C question......A/C was never a factory option on RHD 92>Corrado's of any description......it was only offered as a dealer-fit option(provided the dealer could offer it) April 1995 was when the storm was launched in the UK so there are plenty M-plates going about......in fact anything registered before april 1995 will NOT be a storm and you could still buy VR6's when the storm was listed too.......i've also heard it on good authority too that storm chassis numbers are all over the place so are not in any sort of order........TBH the only real winners when the storm was introduced were people who bought them because IIRC the storm worked out a fraction cheaper than speccing a standard(cloth) VR6 with leather
Storm 0 Posted November 29, 2003 Josh looks loveley, Ive got Aqua Blue too. What do you think of the BF Goodrich Profilers? I'm on my second set and rate em.
