DANG60 0 Posted February 19, 2008 Has anybody seen a set of porsche gt3 type seats fitted to a corrado before, i like the look of them but there seems to be lots of variations of the same seat. Anybody had any experiences with them. Heres an example http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GT-Carbon-Fibre-S ... dZViewItem
Jonesmark12 0 Posted February 19, 2008 Naaa! dont do it!! :censored: Only because i've just picked up my GT3 dashboard over the weekend - and i'm sorting the seats out next month!! Wanted to be the first corrado with it!! I havent seen amother C with GT3's in them, but i could be wrong.
DANG60 0 Posted February 19, 2008 Cool, should look sweet. By the time i pull my finger out mate you probably will be the first person to do it.. Where you getting your seats from? Seen some for around £350 each and some for £700 each. Is it a matter of you get what you pay for or are some just way over priced as they are porsche reps
Jonesmark12 0 Posted February 19, 2008 Without sounding too distasful - i think my ol man has found me a set of genuine articles - all depends on if i want to sit in a seat which has seen a hell of a lot of blood! were fitted into a Carrera 4 guy had a nasty accident outside brussels! I dont mind too much as i would naturally get them trimmed! - could smell during summer otherwise!! The cheapo ones are really a case of getting what you pay! but i havent sat in them, so i cant really help on that side - i'm not being a snob buying original - its just if i can get them at a bargain, then its more of an incentive when i come to sell them for whatever reason! DANG60 0 Posted February 19, 2008 Yeah your right genuine ones will be so much better, ive enquired about them now so if i buy them il post up my opinion on them. The place im thinking of getting them from you can send them back within seven days if your not happy so its not all bad I spose.
yeti 0 Posted March 6, 2008 i looked into this a while ago before the i fell out of love with the corrado... that may have recently changed though! lol when you look at the shape and size of them i just dont think they work with the rado rear seats (not a problem if you intend on stripping the rear i suppose) i decided on TT Quattro sports buckets or rs4 jobbies... i just dont like the alien shaped head bit! lol o the price variations (sounds like the ebay prices i saw) usually differ from reals to fakes, from a porshe breaker they're more expenvise but at leas they're real! o i presume you have recaro subframes for the C? (i know you do mark  ) o link to the thread i started if any help? http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=57179&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
