markgia1 0 Posted August 2, 2008 My 2.0 16v cut out today whilst driving it. it wont restart. fuel pump (i think) has been whirring for ages when petrol is low. now when i turn ignition key there is no buzzing sound before engine starts (like there use to be). is this the fuel pump finally packing in? radness 0 Posted August 2, 2008 Might be worth checking your fuel pipes around the pump as this happened mine a few weaks ago (fuel started pissing out) but the car still ran and the pump was ok.
