How to push back Brembo Caliper Pistons?

Recommended Posts

Doing a pad change on a Leon Cupra R soon...

There is quite a good guide on the cupra forum but they say to lever the pistons back with a screwdriver?

Is there a better method, I have the tool for the lucas / girling calipers but not sure if it will fit the brembo's with the disc in situ etc...

I leave the old pads in and use 2 small lever bars (wider than screwdriver so less cahnce of damaging the disks)to push the pistons back in.

If you try pushing one piston or 1 side at a time the other pistons come out so its best to work out a way of doing them all at the same time

I used a screwdriver on 1 pad only and had no issues with the pistons moving independantly too bad, only very marginally.
