Copper Grease on Brake pads

Recommended Posts

got some pads with some calipers i bought, the pads are like new but have been used (not very much)

but they have been put in a box with the braking surface touching the back of the next pad, meaning there is copper grease on the braking side on 3 of the 4 pads.

would i be wise just to bin them and get new ones, i had planned to buy new discs and pads all around anyway so getting the pads with the calipers was an added bonus really

Yeah they'll be ok as long as they are not too old - it's oil you don't want...

You should always sand old pads if re-using with different discs etc
