VAG COM - what lead to buy..?

Hi,

 

I bought one of these diagnostic leads off ebay a while ago and it's supposed to work with VAG COM 409.

Well it kinda works, although all it's telling me is I have an ABS fault, not which sensor it is..! Well I already knew that thanks to the ABS light being permanently on :lol:

 

Am I right in thinking I need an opto isolated cable which works with version 311 of VAG COM? This cable I have doesnt seem to work with version 311.

If this is the case, does anyone know where to get an older style lead, as I think the ones on ebay all seem to be non opto isolated

I have a spare USB lead that works with 311 i got it from www.ecutool.com they sent me a serial cable by mistake and I ended up getting a old laptop for VAG COM so I use the serial cable. You can have it for a tenner delivered i'll also send a copy of vagcom 311 if you don't have it.
