Bodywork shop Bath/Bristol Area?? Recommendations

Recommended Posts

I have not been there myself for work but there's a place close to my work that was recommended by one of the guys in our factory who's into classic cars. I know they do a lot of insurance work as well as private. A D Jones - 0117 9660915.

Did get a quote from them for some work needed on our old pool car, seemed pretty resonable - a grand for pretty much every panel but the roof, including a new door skin

I had some tidying up done on my previous Storm then, as I was pleased with the job, had the front resprayed (bonnet, bumper, wings etc) the following year.

Used SOS Bodworks

Broadmead Lane Industrial Estate,

Keynsham,

Bristol, BS31 1ST

Tel: 0117 986 3570

Mob: 07971 336077

Don't know if you know the Keynsham area (midway between Bristol/Bath on A4) but the Ind Estate is an old victorian terrace of units tucked away behind the Co-op (if it is still a Co-op) off the roundabout on the A4. The other side of the railway line... but postcode above will help you find it.

The guys name is Sean. He might remember me if you mention the girl with a Blue Storm.

I had plenty of people saying he had done a great job.

He has an old Beetle and was asked to judge the 'best paintwork' class at Bristol Volksfest in 2007.. Can't give any more up to date info though as I moved from Bristol in 2007.

There should be some pics of my newly painted bonnet on an old members gallery thread. I'll see if I can find it and add a link.

Ha, just seen you commented on the thread with the bonnet pics back in 2007 saying you wanted some painting done. I know it can be a big thing trusting your car (and money) to someone so paint it but.... be brave, get on with it.
