ABS Pump

Recommended Posts

Think I've sorted it - I was looking for bad connections around the ABS looms in the engine bay, when I noticed a loose connection on the +ive battery terminal - the main terminal was tight but two auxilary power cables bolted to the terminal were loose and slightly corroded.

I can't believe I didn't notice it when I first got the car! I've driven 100 miles since, tried accelerating & braking like a loon and the ABS light has not come on once so I think its sorted now :)

I got ine sorted, turned out to be an in-line fuse on one of the relays. Didn't realise there are more relays than just those in the fuse box. Still it didn't even cost me the price of a fuse cos I already had some :D

If you pull out the tray under the dash on the passenger side you should see a variety of relays & in line fuses. Sorry i can't be more specific but it was a while ago & I have drunk beer since

Fortunately one of my mates is a mechanic & has access to a diagnostic computer, he got the fault code then consulted a wiring diagram. Then he traced the circuit until he found the blown fuse. Easy when ya know how eh?
