rado VR airbox into a Mk3 golf VR

V. quick question.

 

Just swapped my standard VR airbox plus a few notes for a BMC CDA. The lad i bought it off said the corrado airbox doesnt fit his mk3 Golf VR. Seen as their essentially the same engine, can the corrado airbox be made to fit - is the space where the airbox goes smaller then that of the corrado?

I've got a Golf VR and my son has a Corrado VR. Nope it defo won't fit. They are both oblong and roughly the same size but the Corrado box fits 'front to back' whilst on the Golf it fits 'left to right' and one end of it tucks under the wing.

 

I've got a picture of the Golf one, but I don't understand how to insert it.

Cheers Knightrider, you confirmed what i had already found out afer posting the Q. :D I didnt even realise they had different airboxes.
