g60_jimbob 0 Posted April 18, 2009 Hi,recently ordered my brakes from a place called CRN in derby,groved discs all round and EBC red stuff pads,bought them off ebay £238 posted. Went to fit them today and when we took the rear brakes off realised it was ABS on the rear,where as the new one as not!. and it doesn't look like the abs thing lol( not sure what the proper name is) if it does come off will fit into the new disc? i did not even bother trying to fit the fronts didn't see the point. I am going to ring them on monday to see what they say. Does anyone no wheather the abs thing can come off or not? If i have to get brakes else where which ones and best place to buy them from? Supercharged 2 Posted April 18, 2009 The ABS ring is seperate - £9 from VW They always recommend new ones every disc change as the old ones will distort when you remove them, you need wheel bearings too at the back.
