temp issues

Recommended Posts

I have recently changed two of the temp sensors on the side of the head. Since doing so my car runs hotter?? Anyone know if this is correct and whether using aftermarket sensors will make a difference or whether different sensors will give different readings??

Any help would be appreciated. Im close to putting the old ones back in as they a genuine VW to see if this helps??

I also have a neuspeed fan switch fitted which at first was superb cooling at the right time no probs but recently doesnt seem to keep the car so cool and fan is not kicking in at 80c like its meant to more like 90c. My rado used to run at 90c no matter what even in traffic would never go above and now since changing the sensors it can go up to near 100c??

Cheers in advance

Kieran
