ABS Problem

Hello

Please could anyone help me with ths problem.

My ABS is playing up and wouldn't pass the MOT because the abs light stays on. i've got this fault code:

 

00257 - ABS Inlet Valve-Left Front (N101)

 

Any ideas what this could and how i could fix it?

Faulty wiring, wiring connection or valve coil.

 

Possibe cause

 

Malfunction at contact 3 of ABS Control Module (J104).

 

Corrective step

 

Test wiring, wiring connections and valve coil:

Sorry i've not had the corrado long. where would the ABS control module be?

there's a bit of "kick" trim under the shelf in the passenger footwell. it's on the side of the car, just in front of the door-gap.

 

water can get in there if you have a dodgy scuttle seal etc (mine was badly corroded the first time i had it apart). worth checking there as a starting point as it's only two screws to take the panel off iirc.

(you'll have to take the plug off the module to see it obviously and then it should be obvious if water/corrosion has in-set)
