Clutch slave cylinder hose/cable thing help!!

As you can see, I have no idea what the name of this part is ...

 

It's the cable/hose thing that connects to the slave cylinder. My slave cylinder has gone and this needs to be removed to get at it, unfortunatly it's seized on so I need a new one ... I want to post in the wanted section but I'd like the name of the part I need before I do!!

It's just a pipe - get a new one from VW, no point replacing a part like this with second hand!

Cheers for your reply mate, they want £75 for it new!! But if it's not worth using 2nd hand, I'll buy new.

i think if steve knew it was £75 he might not have been quite so single-option in his advice! its a very straight-forward item so perhaps for the saving 2nd hand might be worth it after all.. they dont seem a commonly in-demand bit so I'm sure you'll find one from someone who's breaking a car.

Yeah blimey - last time I bought one it was £33ish but that was probably 2-3 years ago and I know some stuff has doubled in price recently!

 

I still wouldnt bother with 2nd hand though - you could try somewhere like pirtek and see if they will copy the old one with stainless fittings...
