Windscreen airflow stopped working

Recommended Posts

Have had a real problem getting the air flow directed onto my windscreen from my heater blower - all other directions work fine

I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem?? i'm asking now cos the engine is out of the car and I have good access to the bulkhead that all the heater stuff bolts onto. Is it just a cable wearing through something ?

Any help greatfully received :help:

It could well be the cables. Worth checking they're still attached by getting the fan speed/direction controls out. Also check the cables are still attached behind the dash.

Thanks for the heads up, sounds about right so will have a look, gonna try and get it working before I put the engine back in just in case the heater unit needs replacing 8)

from your avatar it looks like you have an early C with the slidey controls?

I have the same and when I first got the car I could only get air blowing form the dash vents, nothing on the windscreen. I did a search on here and found a reference to a cog which can become dislodged in the flap diverting mech. sure enough had a look behind the centre console where all the gubbins is and found a little plastic cog on the floor. figured out where it had come from, popped it back in and viola!

if you own an early style interior corrado with slider controls, this may be useful:

you may have one disconnected vacuum pipe probably.... or not..
