ABS Fault + OBD...

Recommended Posts

Wasn't sure where to put this post as there are now two faults!

Yesterday, I had just finished work, drove my '93 Vr6 down the drive as usual, over a speed bump, and the abs light came on - great..

Since then, it is on permanently, as soon as the engine is turned on, it stays on permanently.

I disconnected and reconnected the battery last night, but this made no difference.

Today, I borrowed a posh Snap On fault reader from a friend in the trade, connected it to the OBD1 plugs, but I cannot get the reader to communicate in any way to my car, I tried to connect to the brake system, engine electronics etc, but not a sausage.

This evening, I read that you can retrieve fault codes by jumping the OBD plugs and getting the abs light to blink, I tried this, but again, nothing...

Any ideas on which way to go with this would be much appreciated!

Thanks
