dan 0 Posted July 28, 2010 I've got some soundproffing left over & was looking to put some behind the footwell plastics. I think on the passanger side I need to remove the parcel shelf under the glovebox first, is that right? On the drivers side I have located the carpet grip & the two screws but I don't know how to remove the stop bump underneath the accelerator. There doesn't seem to be a screw holding it on, anyone know how I can take this off?
dan 0 Posted July 28, 2010 This is the part I'm having trouble with...
JMC 0 Posted July 28, 2010 That plastic stop beneath the pedal should just unscrew.
dan 0 Posted July 28, 2010 That plastic stop beneath the pedal should just unscrew. That's what I thought... the plastic washer just keeps turning and when I put a screwdriver into the centre it doesn't catch any screw head in there. I'm thinking maybe the rubber stop will just prise out but I don't want to break it
JMC 0 Posted July 28, 2010 From memory it's the whole of the plastic stop (the threaded section as well as the washer) that unscrews if that helps.
VR6 0 Posted July 28, 2010 Yeah just unscrew it and the plastic washer should come out afterwards.

dan 0 Posted July 29, 2010 Just put some pipe grips on it & it screwed straight off :D Just to let you know it can also be removed using a 13mm allen key.
