replacing temp sensors X3

Recommended Posts

Was about to change these today the new ones have small round connectors yet the ones on the block are different.

2x spade connectors & 1x round connector that looks (could be wrong) bigger than that on the new ones.

Any advice guys?

Darren

I had the same when I changed mine. Same sensor, just a different connector. Didn't cause any problems.

So how did you solve it?

The spade connectors just slide on over the round "button" top of the connector. Instead of the wire sticking straight out from the connector it will be at right anges.

Edit:- Just like the one in the centre of your pic, the lighter coloured one. They just screwed in as normal and got connected.

Thanks for your help---is there a need to drain down first or is there likely only to be a trickle?

Apologies for the late reply, was out being literary. They just screw out, no water leakage at all as the appear to just sit blank drillings. I was quite surprised as I was all poised unscrewing with one hand and the new one in the other ready to go in. And not a drop!
