Interior Refurb, Advice Needed!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

after 21 years of use the interior is lookin a bit dull and i now have a bit of time to sort it.

im going to take the interior out to clean it but have a couple of questions

1 - what have people used to clean the carpet (other than a hoover!)

2- how and what to use to bring the leather back to life?

Here's what I used. And it made a massive difference:

1, Shampoo (What ever you have in the shower at the time). Sounds daft, but if it's mild enough for human hair... Along with a small amount of conditioner.

Washed off with lots of water and left to dry in the sun.

2, Gliptone leather cleaner and Conditioner. Warmed the leather in the sun and then worked the cleaner in with a nail brush. Wipe off any residue with a damp jay cloth (rinsed in a bucket of clean water after every wipe) then conditioned several times at least.

Had a go with other cleaners but this was way ahead of all the others.

For the best results the carpets and seats need to come out, but it's a job that should only need doing once.
