abs question

hi

car was due mot yesterday but abs light came on and stayed lit on thursday so had to cancel. Now off the road :(

is there a way of flashing the error codes or do i need vagcom. I used to have a bmw e30 and you could join two of the pins together on the service plug and the codes would flash out on the light.

Car is a 2l 16v

have read on a few sites that they do this on a g60 in usa. They put a jumper between the abs wire and earth and the abs light flashes the code. Anyone ever done it or know what the wire diagram for the fault reader is

Chances are it's a duff sensor. If you have a multimeter, you can check that out yourself in about 5 mins. Use the search on here, it's been covered loads of times.
