Anyone know how to remove Corrado gearknob???

Hi all,

 

I'm trying to replace a rather dead looking gear knob on my 93 2.0 16V....

 

The gearknob is splt all the way down and has now come away from the internal plastic shaft.

 

Does this plastic shaft unscrew at the base (anit-clockwise I assume?) or just pull out? I've tried both so far and neither seem to work!!!... :help:

 

Any comments / help appreciated!

It should unscrew, if the knob has split you're gonna need a set of molegrips on it I should imagine,

Moving to Interior.

 

Unscrew the knob and then pull the whole plastic base off (still connected to the knob).

Molegrips and brute force....sorted!
