SNS Stage 5 Chip querie

Hello.

Does anyone know if this chip would affect ignition advance when setting up as per the corrado manual? with the coolant temp sensor connected the reading is supposed to be 20 -30deg. When I do it with this chip installed I can't get a stable advance reading.
