cc guy 10 Posted November 25, 2011 Hi Guys, I'm new here can someone help with a problem when starting it will run then shut off after 1 or 2 seconds,not happening all the time more so after a short run or when its damp? CazzaVR 0 Posted November 25, 2011 Sounds like the factory immobiliser. Remove the trim from under the steering wheel. Trace the black wire from the ignition to the immobiliser module (small black box). It will have a small black plug. Undo the plug and spray with contact cleaner. Plug/unplug a few times, spray again etc and this should clean the connections. Other than that, it could be the actual ignition switch, fuel pump relay, ecu relay or several other things.
