Where to source amber front indicators

Tinted mine previously with lense repair film but it wasn't a great finish! Any ideas where I can get a proper set??

Not entirely sure they exist.

 

Think I may have seen some early amber front indicator lenses but never any genuine late items.

 

A fair few have done what you've done and tint them with film. Have you thought about spray-tinting..?

Both exist, Early amber 51.54 Euros's plus 19% VAT + p&p

Late clear 45.93 Euro's plus 19% VAT + p&p

That's what VW Heritage.de sell. For UK market & Europe, they were all clear. Amber is USA & Canada iirc.

 

If you look closely at the amber ones on the Heritage.de site, you'll see there is a small hole in the top corner nearest the fog lamp (handed). That's for adjusting the tilt of the fog lamps. Adjustment is not the same way on later ones. Indicator out instead to do it.

Key thing with early indicators is to make sure that rubber bung exists in the front as moisture seems to make it's way in othwerise - worth ordering some spares!
