Bended front abs ring.

Recommended Posts

I purchased some second hand front VR6 hubs recently and today I took them to a garage to have the front wheel bearings pressed out. They managed to press the old bearings out fine but on closer inspections when I got back it seems that they have somehow bended the metal abs rings in the process.

Should I just source another set of metal rings and not bother to try and get them knock back into shape as I dont think it will be perfect again and may affect the abs sensors.

these rings dont have to be perfectly straight... although it is desired.

I think they can be got cheaply from GSF or similar.

I left mine on and straightened them as best i could... hasnt caused any ABS errors and the system still works fine... your call really

as above they can be straightened easily enough and continue working even if there is a little eneveness, mine were/ are the same.

i bended mine back into shape, but they weren't too bended in the first place. I would say it was very minor bendage

Guys can the abs rings be purchased brand new?

I think my drivers side is defective.

Cheers
