sgaites 0 Posted February 2, 2013 Hi all I am about to set about removing the aftermarket immobiliser from my project G60. The wiring is a real birds nest, and when the guy I bought it off showed me how the system worked, it looked like a total head wrecker. So, I'm getting rid. I can only find 2 references to a Toad A520 system on Google, but that is what the receipt from the installer says the system is. Anyone heard of this system, or can point me in the direction of a wiring diagram etc ? I want to make sure that I get all the connections etc removed properly - even by tracing wires back to the control unit I am worried I'll miss something. cheers Simon PS - would there have been a factory fit alarm on a early '92 G60 ? sgaites 0 Posted February 2, 2013 Ha I dunno what I was worried about. 2 hours with wire snips, soldering iron and insulating tape and there's no trace. There were obvious signs the loom having been chopped in and out of over the years, so all the dodgy looking joints were re-done.
