delfinis38 1 Posted June 15, 2013 orig laserline alarm on the VR is starting to play up. going off at random. I don't have time to fix it as I have to catch a flight tonight. I guess it's going to cause problems for the neighbours for a few days..... cars in a locked garage..... other than any insurance issues cars sorn..... can I just disconnect the battery and leave it..... if I do will it cause me any problems when I reconnect it. what happens to the central locking etc...... tony_ack 0 Posted June 15, 2013 It has probably got a battery backup in the siren (though if it's on the original battery, then it's probably not going to last long). It might be okay if you disconnect the siren while the alarm is disarmed, but it depends on the model. Some older models have a lock switch in the siren box to switch between normal and garage modes.
