Langsam 10 Posted January 10, 2014 Bonjourno! My power steering rack has been squirting fluid out like pornstar for the whole time that I've owned it. It's got that bad that the neighbours have started complaining about the oil slick it leaves behind haha. So my idea is to convert my corrado to a manual rack, the reasons being 1) it leaks everywhere, 2) I find the power steering to be over assisted, 3) the power steering pump is knackered anyway and finally 4) I can tidy up the engine bay a bit by removing all the lines and reservoir. So what I'm asking is, can I simply take the belt off the power steering pump pulley, unbolt the pump from the block remove the old rack and all the lines etc?
